    Always wondered how drivers could see the image in a mirror that far forward on the fender like the Plymouth 2 posts ago.

    The story goes it was Chuck Booth. The mechanic is Wally Meskowski. Picture taken on Sept. 7, 1968 at the “Hoosier Hundred” USAC Champ Car race.
    But on that day in question , Chuck Booth was running an Offy, [which the photo isn't]

    It is also claimed to be Chuck Hulse at the Indiana State Fairgrounds

    USAC Records show Ralph Ligouri DNQ'd with car #44 for race 10 "the Hoosier 100" at Indiana State Fairgrounds.
