Technical Oh crap, now what ?

...And THAT'S why people use 9" rears, children. Genuine Ford Parts. Bronco rears, 5 on 5.5" circle, overall width 56". Craigslist.
Did you know that all Broncos are patterned at 5 on 5.5"?
Small AND large brg. ALL 28" spline. 8" and 9". Just for info...

 

Yep, but they are getting harder and harder to find used anymore, they haven't been made in what, 35 years or so? I know there are aftermarket ones out there, but big $$$....

 

Had one that the bolt broke and center pin came out at 55 mph, destroys the inside housing and gears. Ended up replacing the whole rear end. Always best to check the bolt to not have that problem.

Making noise louder than the radio could cover up for a couple days lol.

 

Did you use an axle saver bearing, or replace the axle?

 

I replaced the axle, and replaced the standard bearing.
I figured the worn area on that axle was a great place to snap.
