I'm surprised to hear it's for sale. I talked to Ernie a couple of years ago at the Gas Up and he was just in love with the car

Ernie has been a great caretaker, I'm surprised to see he is moving it on.

 

One of my top 5 favorite hotrods of all time. This is where form (art) meets function. Wish I could afford it.

 

Something sounds funny about the compression ratio. @Jimmy B is it true?

 

At some meets it was 16.25:1 but generally they ran 13.5:1. Duke Hallock would measure atmospheric pressure and would calculate the optimum compression 16.25:1 was high side.
