More often than not when a gasser is “recreated” it is done in the nose high almost cartoonish way. But I have to admit I really like the simplicity of the this one. I wouldn’t mind seeing more 55’s like this one..... even if it probably wouldn’t be able to run with the SEGA guys. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
If you check my history on the HAMB you will find that I have posted quite a few relevant photos in numerous threads over the years, most of the pictures being my own shots from the appropriate era. I don't bother to troll around the internet looking for photos to post as I know that you and loudbang are exceptional players in that field. Don't get me wrong, some of the stuff that you guys come up with is great but I have a business to run and race cars to build and don't have the time to post in dozens of different threads every day. Roo
I would bet this one is a modern build or rebuild. The ladder bar mounts and style look a bit modern, but at least it doesn't have those PT Barnum wheels on it. Nice try, and a "like".
Fitting for this post...and don’t bring Loudbang into this...please keep trolling my posts...he’s an innocent by standard in all of this
The ladder bars were the first "giveaway" for me too! On the other hand the Zakia car is period perfection personified (say that 3 times fast). I dig that car every time I see it and I seriously doubt you will ever find a set of LeMans wheels on those "poseur" cars of late. When I see a car with that style of American wheel on the front from back in the day it usually is one of the more serious racers of its period as the Zakia car was.
A different Tri-Five gasser from the bottom side of the planet. Jeff Burnett's blown six cylinder Holden. GM built this basic body style from 1948 until 1956 so it sort of qualifies. Roo
The High Roller Too is like deja vu all over again. I bet Roo will fondly remember these two other works of art from another thread. The builder is stuck on torturing us with these wonderful examples.
LOL keep trying and failing to DICTATE what others should do with their time. Do what you want with your own time and leave us be in peace. You seem to have plenty of time to look at the photos and CRITICIZE everything. As I and RYAN have suggested many many times Ad infinitum Click the IGNORE button and you will never have to be a contrarian again over any of my postings. But because you have some sort of OCD you will ignore this advice yet one more time.
