Hate seeing the 66/67 GTO sitting in the weeds behind it.

He wants to sell that GTO. I think it's a '66. I didn't look too closely at it though so I don't know how rough or how complete it is.

It’s a WOFTAM......would be crawling over it to get to the Pontiac.

  12. I agree with that. Those wheels look like early Citroen or something similar.

  13. Wheels look Austin, maybe 10 or 12hp car. JW

26 T, if it was Austin wouldn't the upper water hose be in the middle of the cylinder head? I was thinking 30s Morris Minor

Sure looks like one. These came with a flathead or OHV engine.

Wheelbase would be 78 inches or 91 inches.

I agree. They look a little stronger than the Morris wheels.

  16. Austin and Morris wheels of that era were very similar if not interchangeable. JW

The Morris Minor SV was built 1931-34. 847cc (52 ci) so not much power. The early cars had a 3-speed transmission. A 4-speed became optional, then was standard for the last two years. Might make a fun little parade car or sell it to a special builder.

it pretty much has to be a 1930 or 31 Side Valve Morris Minor

  22. Well lookie there,,,
It's got the rear tails raked up and got a Z at the front. With some Ford crossmembers and suspension parts she will sit pretty good and all traditional

That 3 flange rag joint drive shaft thingy looks identical to what he posted.

Probably was towed to that yard by a dodge ! :D

I agree Squirrel has it right. Everything in my photos seems to match up to the diagram he posted.
I'll tell the guy what he's got.

Austin chassis were entirely different - including the wheels. These had three lugs, not enclosed within the wheel inner hub. (Wheel studs were cleverly elongated, so that lug nuts just needed loosening, and the wheel rotated to remove!) The Austin chassis was letter A-shaped, and the front axle was like a scaled-down '28 - '34 Ford, with cross-spring. 4416_01.jpg 2015-04-04-11-04-40.jpg
