What little I know about Dodges in 31/32, (I have a '32 Dodge PU) the cowl was bolted to the rockers, I was under the impression that cars were as well...but not sure.

Maybe @31Dodger would know, if so, I can take pics of mine.

You must have had a vision for it when you bought it even if the main reason for was the flathead. Just remember to roll it out where you can observe it from multiple angles and distances every so often to confirm it is going as envisioned.

  7. It's a JustwhatIcan A-Ford.

I tend to agree that it did not start out a three-window body but beyond that, who knows. It's not hard to see someone using some A parts to make a body he can then bolt on an A-frame fairly easily.

Hey 49ratfink, this actually a '34 Ford body. Henry was buddy's with Hupp and agreed to let Murray make the body and sell them to Hupp. The doors are Cabriolet.

No matter what it is, I think it's pretty damn cool...

I would love to see a Hemi in it.

Are you sure it is not an Essex? They look very ford like and have the same flat cowl bead. They are suicide door as well.

I parked next to gentleman from Sioux City area who had a life long 32 Dodge/Plymouth 3 window coupe. His had vent openings (2) in the area where yours has been filled. He told me the bodies were manufactured by Murray same as 32 Ford 3 window. After staring at one whole afternoon and I could see no reason to doubt it. Enjoy this it should come out great. In the 60s it was cubic inches, now it seems to be cubic dollars. Have fun with it.

  15. So what ever became of this body?
Its not a 32 PB, as they had square corner at the top of the windshield.
    Essex maybe?
