Hot Rods Front end too low on a 1939 ford

  1. A 39/40 Ford is only too low if you can't get into the driveway. LOL

^^^^ This-need pics. Have done a lot of 40's-doing a std coupe now and a 39 woody. Both 4" axle, reversed main leaf,9 leaves, centered 15x6" wheels and 195/65 front tires--sit just right and not too low.

What's the tire diameter? lots easier to change tires than springs.

I had one re-arched at a local spring shop years ago. The guy traced the arch on the floor with chalk, turned the spring over and rolled it a couple of times thru some adjustable 3-roller set-up until the spring had the same arch as before – it just was on the other side. Took about 5 minutes, charged me $10 or so.

A lot cheaper than buying another spring, having to buy new u-bolts for added leaves, or buying new tires.
