Technical Perch pin bolts - torque settings

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by blackjack, Feb 5, 2019.

  1. Is there a recommended torque setting for perch pin bolts going in to a 32 axle. It is set up Rolling Bones style - so the spring mountings have been cut off. IMG_20181125_152759154.jpeg

  2. Better picture showing the layout. The nickel plated rod is a Panhard rod made from a Citroen 2CV steering arm. FB_IMG_1549365848764.jpeg

There are charts online for torque value by bolt size and pitch which should be a good guide. Phil

When I did my car I thought there was a torque in the old motors manual I have. 125 ft lbs comes to mind because I remember some people saying like 200 ft lbs which I think is way too high.

I’ll check later when I get home.
