I've thought about it long enough.... I have been hesitant to post a build thread because I don't want it to become another one that falls dormant in the shadows of the hamb. Bear with me, I have a Family and Mortgage to deal with like most so I'm not planning on breaking any records with this build. In saying that I have made the decision to make a start on this build and hopefully not drop the ball on it. Hopefully a bit of interest and encouragement on here will push me along with it. The plan is to build a early styled 32 frame to put my model A coupe onto. I will post a link to an old thread of when I found the frame and try to upload all the photos I have already and then keep it all up to date.

This was the day I dragged it into my shed and decided to make a start. I had been collecting parts for a while but this is what I consider the starting point.
I'm not believing someone would pick a trailer over a deuce, what a shame....hahahah. sweet score....
this should be cool. Im sure when that frame was made into a "trailer" it was just some discarded junk pile. I like doing work like that (cutting old repairs, & brackets off & dumping them in the scrap bin) then cleaning up the gold that lies underneath
I can't believe you're going to destroy that time capsule. It looks like you even washed it !!! The luck here should legally be contagious. I'm dumbfounded. Fun score !
Looks like you have your work cut out for you.I have salvaged a lot of 30's and 40's front axles here.It seems that they were very popular to use as trailer axles.
This is my coupe at the moment. The plan is to keep it on the road as long as I can until the chassis swap.
I had hoped to be able to use the rails. But then I discovered they had not been massively pinched but torched off and welded back on. If I really wanted I could of reclaimed them but having a big repair on both sides at the cowl didn't please me, especially considering I wanted to have an unboxed frame.
So with the help of my oldest son we removed the centre and rear crossmembers and I bought some aftermarket rails as well as a new lower front crossmember.
Just over 12 months ago I was in America for the GNRS as well as some shop tours. I bought a front end from the early ford store. This photo was taken in my room at the Safari Inn Burbank.
I washed up and had 2 sets of 40's wheels blasted then made a set of 2 4" wide and 2 4.5" wide. I painted them black enamel and added a body colour thick detail line.
Bare with me I'm still trying to post a few photos. This was the day I welded it. 29th of September 2018, better than watching the AFL grand final.
Pulling the stuck perch bolts then assembling the front end for a mock assembly. My oldest helping me with spindles.
