Projects 63 Galaxie trunk upholstry

Hi

Today I started to make template for the new upholstry in the trunk.

Plan is to use plywood and make a hole for a 12" subwoofer in the main panel behind the rear seat back. This panel has to be a bit thicker than the side panels and a subwoofer enclosure will be built on the rear side of the panel

The panels will get both blue carpet and leather/PU-leather like the XL-doorpanels and maybe some Ford patches

Don't use plywood for a sub. Use MDF or some other very solid compound.

 

Did it originally come with a plaid mat in the trunk?

 

Yes, MDF or similar for the enclosure, plywood for the panels

 

Yes. Originally they came with a mat like this

Personally, I like the original style mat.

 

His car his choiceM but I think the plaid mat is cool!
