A few days ago Norrland posted this pic of a clear steering wheel from a 60’s Chrysler. and it got me thinking.. why havent I ever seen one of these? we all have seen a million banjo wheel designs and every one digs the 59 impala wheels and such.. but what other cool steering wheels are out there?

PS I know nads has some wild wheel on his blue coupe.. nads, got a pic?

I'm a big fan of the '40 Ford wheel but I can't afford one. I've been planning to run the '46-'48 wheel without a horn ring and modified slightly to resemble the earlier wheel.

I took a picture of this really cool wheel at the Alter Boys Jalopy Jamboree last fall. It really caught my eye.

I thought this was too cool to p*** up ....

... off a British troop carrier, all cast aluminum with some sort of coating, partially removed. Might be a little big for the sedan. But it could look good with a bit of drilling & countersinks. [IMG]

Sawzall, I think Nads wheel is off a boat. 50s and 60s boats had some pretty unique steering wheels too. I've got a pretty *****in boat wheel too but the center is a little warped from too many years in the sun. I'm not sure if it could be fixed or not.

Dude I'm mixing the song right now. It rules.......

Yep, Texas will be crazy, maybe with a Ruby Red Bleedster, we'll see what happens.

I've been Knee Deep in street rod gayness, so it's been sitting, but I am almost ready to finish her up. The interior is out of sight!

Here's a pic of the motor for the "Intake Fairy" I'm sorry it's not a steering wheel, but it's hard to keep them "Fairys" happy! HaHaHa

sawzall, it came out of a boat. It's in really good condition but most times boat wheels are screwd up bad.
Hey bob bleed any history on your wheel?

i have 3 to choose from for my A.

fiat 500- looks kinda trad, bit its not too big, important in the tight confines of a heavily chopped 28 A sedan. its the same as this-
    [IMG]

or, the tried and tested superior 500 woodrim, or a morris minor banjo wheel, or a cast aluminium 3 skoke wheel off a dumper truck.
