In that picture is was a mechanical Hilborn injected small block ford on alcohol with a 4 speed. Now it is a 427 FE with a C-4

 

Mine kinda resembles this and Mike love the chrome Steelies on your car..did the rears on mine with some M & H Racemasters

Got lots of time on a Sunday..wait a minute...I have been on this thread..love the exhaust on this car..I hadn’t realized it’s been on the track..very impressive

I don’t recall ever seeing any Falcons running in the G***er cl***es . Match race A/FX outlaws jacked up with axles YES absoulty!! Everything jacked up is now called a G***er. Somehow the current builders have lost site of the history of the look and stance of a True Street/Strip G***er. Not just Falcons but everything with 4 wheels . Are all of these G***ers Or are they commentating the Match Race wars ?, Maybe but I think most are just having fun building and driving a jacked up Street beast and really don’t care if they are portraying the correct history of the Cl*** but again Most have no clue that a G***er was a particular drag race cl*** . Weight divided by C.I. = A/Gas, B/G,C/G,etc. The fact is back In the heyday which was the ‘60’s no Blown 55 Chevy or blown falcon could stand a chance against a Blown Willy’s ,Anglia or Austin A40.
Well that’s my rant for tonite. And to all Enjoy all things that make power and roll on two or four wheels.

No problem...I love this thread..as a kid I remember a yellow and a red Falcon running around on Telegraph. Both of them had radiused wheelwells and ran slot wheels..and I believe they still are around today and look exactly the same

 

I used to hang out on Telegraph in the '70s but then I discovered Hines Dr. Now I take it into work and the ride back home... It's more relaxing...

 

I've got a thing for 61s, a hi squeeze 289 on alcohol and four speed would be my flavor. Nothing like an old guy dreaming.
