Well here it is finally, pic was on my old computer that can't access the HAMB? Zoom in and you can see it. It was for sale, $20,000. no joke on that price. Really cool piece of racing history but 20K?

Rootie, I believe Tony Bettenhausen drove this car in the '54 500 but that doesn't really look like him in the photo. Is someone else test hopping it?

Nice picture - I see an Aston Martin DBR3 here, and that looks like a Porsche 356 in the background.

Back in the stone age I found one of these hubcaps by the side of the road and put it on my ol' 49 Fleetline, and proudly showed it off along with the odd assortment of caps I had on at the time. I always thought these were great looking caps and wonder why they never caught on like the Olds Fiestas or the Dodge Lancers.

The mechanic kid is on restriction at home for taping a firecracker to a cat, otherwise he would have adjusted the ape hanger bars bent down on two kid's bikes on the right

 

I agree it doesn't look a lot like him, but I think it's just the angle and shadows. Going thru pics of the lineup he's one of the few with a helmet that's not white.
