Found a few more pictures. Thought I'd repost the one picture of the rodders and golfers with the story behind it. I was at a show in Hayward, CA and the back of the parking lot was next to a golf course. I couldn't help but notice the difference between us and "them". White polo shirts and khakis one side of the fence and the black shirt and jeans on the other.

"Us and them"? I guess this long haired, bearded guy shouldn't be on a golf course? I wish I hadn't read this until after I play Saturday. Too bad I don't have the '63 panel ready, I'd drive it to the course.

 

Hey! I know that car! An old guy in Hendersonville, NC used to have that car. He had a little repair shop with some storage area on one side of the building. I had a Pontiac with a blower briefly and the guy I bought it from said he built the motor so I went to talk to him about what was in it and spent two or three hours listening to tales about the "old days" back in California. I was beginning to doubt some of it till he opened up the storage side and broke out the memorabilia! I've actually held that injector hat and moon tank! Thanks for posting this picture, I've wanted one for a while![/quote]
