Yeah, Bill Haley's kookie daughter has been in an orbit one person removed from me on two occasions. Strangely, she was the girlfriend of a guy's room mate that I knew from L.A. and then after hearing many tales about her antics another friend down here in Texas was describing a kookie woman that lived behind him. As a weird coincidence it was her again. Way less than six degrees of separation twice. She also used to date Axel Rose of Guns and Roses fame.

Either one of them shrunk or one of them grew. Cool photo either way.

Looks like Rodger Ward leading Bob Cleberg in 1959. Note that Ward's car has the exhaust pipe on the left instead of the more conventional right side. Is this at Sacramento?

    Thanks!

Also, this is a great looking car with a sharp dressed driver. But I'm not recognizing anything. Is there any information on this one?

    Thanks again!

Those are some righteous threads for sure ;) That's Gus Schrader circa 1935 at some Iowa fairgrounds track I suspect.

It appears to be a directed thrust system. No connection to the braking system

Indyrjc, Watson frequently ran dirt cars with a left side exhaust. In 1959 he came out with the Leader Card Duo #52. Rodger Ward drove it at Trenton in April. Keller drove it at Milwaukee, and it did laps at the speedway as well. In 1960 the car Jimmy Bryan was killed in was left side too. Watson kept the injector horns under the hood as well.

Hmmm? If the hammock's load weight, length & distance from hardtop's roof are known, I wonder if the frequency of car acceleration-deacceleration cycles can be calculated to achieve the pendular resonance necessary for the hammock's load to eventually hit the roof? 8^) Jack E/NJ
