Features Corvette hot rods - picture thread

Thanks, there are very few stock pieces on this car. It was just a pile of parts when I got it, so I chose to make what I could. Funny story about the NCRS thing. I was parked next to a totally restored 57 corvette at a corvette show a few years back, and almost everyone was swarming my car, not the resto!

Chevrolet had experimented with a 4 seat Corvette in 1963. Larry Shinoda did the styling for this unique Corvette. He added 10 inches to the wheelbase to fit the second set of seats.

We went to our local cruise today. While we were standing around talking a lady came over and asked who owns the white Corvette. I said that I did. She asked if her daughter could have her prom picture made in it as it was her dream car. I said “no problem”. They took quite a few and were very polite.

Some might disagree since there's no custom body work, straight axle or trick wheels,
but with a 283 with dual quads and a four speed I think this is definitely a hot rod
Corvette. It may look like a garage queen but when seen in person this 'vette is a driver,
but a darn nice one. I don't know the owner, I just stopped to talk with him. I wish I
could have gotten a pic of the '63 R-code 427 Galaxie sitting in his garage but with all
the paraphernalia sitting on and around it, it was barely visible.
