Thanks guys, it is a good feeling to have a vision or goal and work your way to fruition. When I was growing up I spent a lot of time in my Uncles garage, he always had a car project going on. I told myself way back then that I would build myself a Hot Rod before I die. I have fulfilled that promise to myself and it feels really good to be blessed with the health and finances to do so. I'm really happy with the way the car came out and how it drives. I need to get her registered and insured so I can put some miles on her and really test her out. There is still work to do, but she's drivable, and that will keep a smile on my face for a long time to come.

And as a kid who went to the park near a hot rodders garage you’re going to be warping young minds in no time with those cars When you leave for the second time and the clip starts in the garage reminds me of how small an A is. Makes any two car garage feel like a palace love it
Thanks guys. I centered up the steering yesterday, so that's all good now. I ordered a proportioning valve for the rear brakes, they were locking up too soon. I still have to investigate why the front brakes pull more to the drivers side. I tried adjusting them and bleeding them, but it didn't help. Everything else seems to be good though driving wise. I need to start working on sewing up a new headliner.
Man that black and grey shot is great! I vote on, off, partially on, and that other hood on the wall. I think a full hood, just hood top, just hood sides, no hood and all the louver variant ms give a little different flavor each. Change it up now and then they all look great. Maybe run hub caps with the full hood and with out for the hoodless option?
On the front brakes dragging you could need a stiffer return spring on the pedal. I’ve had them drag just a hair and make the far front wheel give me issues
I had one drum that didn’t have much contact with the pads so I had it tuned. Didn’t help. Swapped drums this morning and it’s much better now. Maybe just a touch of pull to the passenger side now, but not much. I’ll try adjusting the front adjusters to see if i can get it perfect. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.

Got the car registered and licensed today. I needed somewhere to mount the front plate so I made a spreader bar. Put a couple of tabs on the bar to mount the plate. While I was painting the spreader bar I painted the front shocks and the oil fill tube. I got the car up to 50 mph on the way to the dmv, it drove great. Figure....3.75 ish rear gear, no overdrive , 31 inch tall rear tire....2641 rpm at 65 mph I’d think you could cruise that all day long. My thinking is a 50 ford would drive 65 all day with a similar set up and a way shorter tire so the revs would be higher and it’s just fine. Hopefully someone a little more faithful to the Flathead will chime in. I havnt had one for a minute
Looks good, always seems a challenge to find a way to mount one up front that doesn’t look out of place.
