Does anyone know through early catalogs or any other source what year Edelbrock started producing the CD 694 and CD 693 intake manifolds? I know it was later than Edmunds and Detroit Racing but was just curious as to if anyone had this information.

I have a Weiand 2X4 with matching 4X2 adapters that we got from Gene Winfield in Paso several years ago. Someday it will be on a 331 with a T85 OD in my '53 pickup where the 270 has been since '78. It will have 2 WCFBs.

Just got these today. Cl find. I bought them intending to resell um but now that they are in my hands, it makes the decision harder.

Haven't perused this thread in some time. Looked it over again and saw mentions of the Weiand 2X4 intake.
I have had a nice polished one that I picked up on eBay about 5 years ago. (I won't mention how cheap it was - but it was an instant BuyItNow.) It is going on my newly rebuilt 59 Cadillac engine in a 59 series 62 convert. (.030 over, mild Isky cam, HEI, 700r4, wilwoods.) Mounting a pair of edelbrock 500s with marine flame arrestors. Mechanic has done this before and these engines, configured thusly, View attachment 3562951 View attachment 3562951
run great. It does look stock on the outside until the lake pipes, smoothies, and bluedots go on. Those will be easy to swap out for AACA fogey type shows. It won't sound stock though. Am leaning to cherry bombs because I don't care for the 2 phase loping from all the performance 2 chamber mufflers. Listened to glasspacks on 390 Cads on YouTube and they don't sound half bad.
Have all kinds of other finned engine parts BUT am still looking for a finned timing chain cover.

Anyway here is a pic of the weiand while it was in the shipping box for 5 years. Will post completed engine pics in a few weeks.

Latest find. Lucky to get the Offy 3x2 intake and Edy valve covers together. A good friend that sold me my first Cadillac OHV, a '49-331 was letting these go and gave me a shot.

My 59 caddy series 62 convertible's engine room. Some old stuff like the 2X4 weiand intake. Some new stuff like the carbs. Anyway, it is getting there.

Had to bring this back up. Too much cool stuff to look at.

I did pick up a Pribble blower adapter which is kinda cool.

my edelbrok 3x2 manifold has the carb base area large enough to drill for rochester carbs, would they be better than my 97's using progressive linkage ???? the flathead was only 221 cu in, cad 331 in,
    .

  29. image.jpeg This is my new Caddy motor mocked up with the super rare hilborn injection set up...it says pat pending on the casting, so I guess this must be an early one!

I also have a Mallory dual point and coil for the Caddy that is up for grabs if anyone's interested?
