Couple weeks out. Lincoln Speedway, gates open Friday 12-6 for swap preview and hang out, gates open 8 AM Saturday for the show. Track time 11-2. As always no pets, no bottles...see you there!!
Let's all come out and support Larry and crew. The effort that they put out for this event is immeasurable.
( pkhammer), Your in for a good time. The showdown is one of my favorites. Larry and the crew do a great job! But that being said, I can't make it this year. I lost a good friend to cancer. That Saturday the 18TH is his service. You guys have a Fun Showdown. I hope to see you next year. Don, we have the same taste in wall paper. Ron..... ...............So very sorry, Ron. As we grow older it seems that losing good friends happens far too often.
Ron, sorry you've lost a good friend. Truly good friends are hard to come by. I lost one of my best Pals about 2 years ago and I still miss him.
My son and I and about 20 friends from the Pittsburgh area are planning to arrive there on Friday, can't wait!!!!
One of my favorite events of the year, a great time and a terrific show. We will be headed north on Saturday at Zero Dark:30.
Plan on being there,a great show missed last year. remember going to lincoln speedway in the late 70's early 80's. turned off of route 30. Stupid google map had me going 283 to the turnpike.
Here's a shot from '07 Showdown. I will miss my first Show in ten years this year as I will be with Ronnie remembering our friend John Connard.
24 hours from now garage doors will be opening and hot rods will be awakening. @mad mikey - how about you?
****. How did I miss this? It's literally 10 minutes away and now I can't make it due to other obligations.
Saw your car Steve, but you must have been like myself, wandering around. So glad to see perfect weather for Scary Larry and Crew and the biggest crowd I think ever for a Showdown. Facility is great, action on the track was fabulous..............Don.
My first time. I heard there were nearly 50 swap meet vendors and I saw some hard to find vintage speed equipment for sale. Car show field was jam-pack full and the vintage race cars on the track put on a good show. Perfect weather and a really great show. Glad we went!
35 of us drove from western Pa. to the show this year. We all had great time, fantastic show and weather. It was the biggest turnout that I've ever seen for the showdown. A big thank-you to Larry and all his crew for all they did to make it happen. Can't wait for the next one!!!! ps One fellow even proposed to his girlfriend when he picked her up and got a yes!!
