Hot Rods Let's see your primered cars

Primer comes in a plethora of colors, my go to color has always been red primer, but Grey and black are common also.

There are probably other colors to choose from, with my moniker you already know I have previously owned a lot of cars that never got a real paint job, let's see some Hamber's low sheen primer jobs.

 

Hope to paint it this fall or winter. Firewall and front and rear windows jammed.

HRP mine isn't HAMB friendly, but maybe it will be if is postage stamp size. Look to your left.

 

As a fan of PRIMERED vehicles I'm going to say that flat black paint is not primer but fake patina.

I too am partial to red primer. None of my prime bombs are currently on the road , but the ‘57 is just a battery shy of ready:

 

I drove it like it like this for about 4 years. It's shiny Washington blue now.

A friends old 56 F series and 59 F series BBW that he sold due to a stroke. Mint bodies, no rust whatsoever.

 

I forgot my work in progress (WIP) and a friend's 47 vert, another WIP Those wheels are only rollers and not staying. The vert is Denise's old (Big Olds) spare car now down under.

Some call it matt black, I see it as primer - nothing else.
It’s how I bought it and hopefully one day I will give it real paint !
