Thanks a bunch Moose! That helps a lot. I like it. It says HOTROD a lot more than the painted steel wheels and baby moons do. I like the stance but I can't seem to decide on wheels though. I started with Tru-Spoke wire wheels. Then the steels have been 3 colors. I think I like the TorqueThrusts the best.
    Thanks again, Moose!

I've had to put a set of front fenders on the A. I was going to paint them black to match the frame, but now that I have mounted them, I'm toying with the idea of going body color. Would it be possible to do two renditions, black to match the frame and green to match the body.

    Thanks
    Warren

    Would anyone help me decide??
    Thanks PJ.

    Thx moose. [emoji3]
I like it. Matches the rubber.
Looks less like a carnival wagon.

  9. Just for kicks, what would this icon look like if it were created with a later or earlier model truck? Figured 60 up or 46 back since the Kopper Kart was a pseudo successor. Screenshot_20190528-173315_eBay.jpeg Screenshot_20190528-173328_eBay.jpeg

I did this one a few years ago. Too new for the HAMB, but it does illustrate the point.

This '57 Chevy is now in Germany, and is scheduled for a top-skin replacement, with a '57 Buick rear window
(center only). I feel the looks could be further improved by reworking the rear side window as well, to improve the flow.
I was thinking of something like a '51 Merc four-door door top.
Does anyone care to try this, or have other suggestions?

I think that chop is much too severe. I tried it out with the cut up roof from the Fleetline and raised the roof back up a couple of inches too. It makes it look less flattened. Sorry for the rough photoshop. 190522_025-sehr-klein1-Recovered.jpg

The roof is a 1956 or 1957 Chevy 4-door Hardtop, but I kept the B-pillar and raised it up a bit. 57 Chopper Final.jpg

No. At least, I wouldn't. Let the body lines do the talking. See how the new roof works with the wheel openings? Chrome would just take away from the overall effect. I did deepen the color to make it look even longer and lower. Less is more here.

  27. Wondering what this truck would look like with a radical sectioning or channel and rework similar to the coupe... feel free to change color, wheels, etc. medium_1940_ford_1gc_1-2_ton_2_door_pickup_4aa621edde.jpeg 1940-ford-truck.jpeg tapatalk_1557413177423.jpeg
