1952-59 Ford Anybody use a Lokar trans dipstick on AOD?

    Can't post this on the main board......has anyone used a Lokar dipstick****embly on an AOD/AODE/4R70W*******? That is the push in type. With some force, I can push the dipstick with the "tophat"rubber seal into the dipstick opening, but it just pops back out 1/4 or so. It's definetly not sealing and would work it's way all the way out.
    Lokar is closed for the night.
    Sometimes I wonder if anything in my life is ever going to be easy again.

    Got it figured out. Lokar tells you to make sure the rubber bushing (top hat seal they call it) is in place on the dipstick housing, then push the****embly into the hole. That's what was giving me problems, it just kept pushing back out. Finally dawned on me to remove the rubber bushing from the diptick tube****y, and install just the bushing alone into the transmission, then slide the dipstick housing into that. Simple. stayed put. took 15 seconds.
