I've known about the car for years, and the owner for longer than that. Super great guy, but would never sell anything.. that's OK cause he loved them. Sadly, he passed away a few months back, and I found out his daughter was selling his cars, and motorcycles. I made her a decent offer on the car, and I'm now the proud owner. Don't worry Mr. Jorgensen, I'll do right by it.
Yes, but it has a 59a in it, and those gawd awful giant radial white walls and painted chrome wheel's.
I get not wanting the radials on such a period correct car and even the whitewalls too, but I like the painted rims. Yeah, I know that's heresy here but "strokes/folks". Your car - enjoy the hell out of it! And please post the first pictures after it's washed up!
Planing on stock wheels and caps, 600/16, 700/16's, probably black walls, a healthy dose of altitude adjustment, two pipes, and driving the hell out of it.
Congrats @e z i have fun with it and as the others said bring on the changes and share your journey...
There was a guy lived around the corner from me for the last 25 years or so. Large property in my neighborhood, maybe 2 acres. Lots of old cars, house built in probably 1900 or so. 2 large shops. Some interesting, desirable cars, some not. He kicked off a few months ago. I knew him, some times a nice guy, sometimes a jerk. I'd like his property and some of his toys. He had some children that are working on cleaning up his place, I really need to stop in and see them, find out what the situation is. None of them were close to him, but he was a friend of mine. Devin
Kinda the same situation, I've known him since I was a kid, I see him once in awhile, we'd talk about cars, motorcycles, and stuff. I even sold him a 52 Ford panel, and a Harley. His kids don't care either, they just wanna unload his stuff. Glad I wound up with the 40, but rather have him around than his car, ya know?
Your build plan is almost exactly what I'd do. I like sedans but I gotta get myself a coupe pretty soon. Great car!
Great car, I'm glad you aren't planning on big changes on it. I like the ones you have planned though.
Yes, yes it is. my uncle bought it new. It tried to kill him, so he gave it to me (i'm not his favorite nephew apparently) we use it to tow dead autos into the shop....
Thanks sir. I meant I love the 59a, hate the wheels and tires, but I've already taken care of that problem..
