    31 Chevy 6

    Six Ball,
I'm using 19" spokes on the front, with spacers to allow them to bolt up. I'm using 17" spokes on the back and they fit right over the Huck drums on the 39 rear axle. The spacers on the front make the wheel spacing the same as the 17" spokes on the rear. The car sits so high, a 6" total drop shouldn't create frame or oil pan clearance issues. That will also give the sit down between the wheels look I'd like. I don't have any doors and my quarter panels and rear is so rough, I might try a speedster body, like the one 2nd chance built.

Speedway is selling fiberglass 32 chevy fenders, decklids, front rear side aprons, gas tank covers now....

Wish they would sell a roadster body for cheap

That's exactly what I did with mine. A restorer not too far away purchased it for his next project.;)

I’ve seen that, I definitely need the front splash apron and fuel tank cover. I’ve thought about the deck lid too since mine is pretty crummy.

I have my original fuel tank cover from my '31, which I'm sure is the same as yours. Don't need it anymore as I'm installing my fuel tank in the rumble area. Brand new from Ammuscle is $427.50. Mine is original steel and far better quality. PM me for further details if you care to.

I'll post some pics after I get it cleaned up a bit. I do need a pair of headlight lenses if anyone has any.

That's too clean to wreck. Just clean it up first and see what you have.

That 35 Standard coupe is a gem and only needs some air in the tyres ;)

I prefer the term "Hot Rod" to "Wreck" but that might just be me.

Trust me, I need tires...fronts are just coming apart. I think I'll do an Outlaw chassis and chop it 3".

Sometimes I just shake my head with these sentiments posted, this is a hot rod site, not a restoration site, there is no such thing as a too nice car to hot rod if that is what the owner wishes to do with it!
