If you didn't read the Hood tire ad it said buy a Hood and forget it for a year. Tires didn't last long back then. I was an ad the other day that guaranteed 5000 miles from a new tire. And people complain now if they don't get 50,000.
We were at Yellowstone on vacation when I was a kid in '54. We were in my mother's 53 Lincoln Capri hardtop with the windows rolled down. The bears were standing by the road and people including us were throwing food to them. Traffic stopped and we could not move. A bear came over and stuck his head inside our car. We were needless to say started but we gave it food and it withdrew. My dad was really pissed as the guy in front of us got out of his 54 Buick and was laughing and taking pictures of the whole thing. Those photos may show up here sometime, who knows?
