Folks, my name is Mike, 68yrs., retired and living with the wife in Germany. Born and raised in Florida. USAF was courteous enough to fly me to all kinds of places, Germany was not too bad.

I have no hot rod, I build model cars in metal, 1:25 scale. All parts are cast in metal and brass and aluminum are used as well. The bodies are resin or styrene, although a Top Fuel car is on the bench with an aluminum body.

This forum has been a wonderful place to visit for specific info that was needed to build a model car. Here my latest;



Many thanks to the Admins and Mods here, and of course all of you who love, like I do, old cars that look great haul it.

@lothiandon1940, thanks for the warm welcome. I really wasn't sure how my lack of a hot rod would come across. Gorgeous '40 Ford! Just don't tell me it has a flathead motor...I'll feel real fuzzy then.

@Bill, you can bet cash on that! I've gathered so much help from you guys, plus...since I love old cars I'll just read sometimes here for hours. I just like this forum.

Hello Don. Well let me just say...ok, I can let this one through. I'll bet though, if I could look, listen and maybe even do a ride-along in real, the fuzziness would come about.

Well I appreciate the invite, honestly, I was unaware of this section on the forum.

Should there be some members here that appreciate a decent model car built to scale, all in metal, then I'd surely return the favor that all of you have have treated me with.
