If it rains you may see less local cars coming and a few less spectators but for guys like me that drive 1200 miles (or much more for many) to attend-we make the best of it and try to stay dry
Be there Thursday and Friday. Leaving the '34 at home. Parts shopping for the '55. Be the first time I've been in like 15 years. When to several of the Nats starting in '71 when they were pre '48. Only reasons I'm going are because it's the 50th and I need some things for the '55.
I’m leaving early Wednesday morning in the ‘35 with a group of guys from here in Springfield, Mo. I was fortunate to find s house to rent WITH A GARAGE that was about half of the price of the hotel I originally had. Looking forward to the event. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Don, if those Injuns get a hold of too much Firewater you might not get to Louisville until the show is over. Drive safe. Gary
I’ll be there every day. Just got the car on the road last week. Need to do a couple little things tomorrow to be a little better for the highway but it’ll be cool to finally register a car of my own for once [emoji1531][emoji1531] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Congrats, That is a very good feeling to register YOUR car, then roll though the gate. I'm in a white and rusty el camino,59. stop and say hello.
Alexmcginnis09, good for you buddy. I will be walking and cruising the grounds throughout the weekend. I will watch for you and say hey if I see you. Sam
B.A. King, I have visited with you before at the south end of the exhibition hall. Do you plan to park in that same area this year? Sam
Just watched the local weather and they say a slim possibility of a shower on Wed. Rest of the week looks good with nice weather and no rain. They have been known to get the forecast wrong, but at least for now it looks pretty good. Don't know where you are staying, but you need to go to the Gate 4 entrance on Crittenden Drive if you are not entering the participant gate. If you are staying somewhere south of the event, get on I-65 N and exit at Eastern Parkway. Immediately after exiting make a right onto Crittenden Drive. Go about a 1/2 mile and Gate 4 will be on your left. If you enter about 8 AM you can get good parking. After parking ......... Go thru the ticket gate and about 50 feet and take a right. There is a back entrance there and you walk thru to the front of the building and come out where there is a circular drive. Go to your left over toward the front of the other building and there is good shade and a central location for everything. Here are a couple of maps for spectators. USE Gate 4
Btw myself and one other in our group are 23 years old and built our rides so the hobby isn't dead yet.
My son and I are leaving Wednesday morning in the '41 Plymouth. It will be the car's first long road trip.
