  4. I’ve followed the Friday art show for a long time and I’m always amazed at the artistic skills on the HAMB, just like the metalworking skills on many threads. I haven’t drawn anything in a very long time so here’s some I did years ago for a poster for a fund raiser for a local body shop that burned down. I’ll try to dig up some more stuff, but to everyone (especially Jigger and Rusty1 – love your style) keep ‘em coming.

  11. ^^^^^ I remember them being lights. I think kerosene was the fuel. I saw them on construction sites. May have been repurposed.

Its called a smudge pot they were fueled with kerosene, diesel, or whatever. They were used as a warning light around road construction sites. Very cool

  15. I KNOW! Gary sent me a REALLY sharp Bonneville saw last spring. Love his work.

Makes me wonder how many of you Hoodlum Artists offer-up your work, hmm?

Uh, never mind, I see the links.

I remember lighting them to keep the temperature up in the orange groves back when I was in high school.

Those are road construction flares. They did indeed, use kerosene.
