I made up my own red and white tuck'n'roll interior for my 56 Ford back in the 1980s using plumbers foam pipe insulation cut down and stuffed up the pleats. I sowed three lines of fishing line along each pleat as I didn't want them splitting. I had the '56 Ford for 28 years and when I changed the colour scheme I sold the front bench seat and the covers off the rest of it. Great when I saw them re-purposed later in another custom -
Metalflake vinyl looks so cool but is the most miserable stuff to sit on imaginable. Doesn't wear particularly well either...

It's interesting that the "Buddha Buggy" (above, bottom left photo) should have such a beautiful interior before its later trademark threads!
