I love early style t roadster gow jobs. There are a few out there that are great. I’m in love with this one. Does any one have more pics of it? Also post what you think is the best gow job you’ve come across.

I think Gary White's build thread had lots of pics on it. Whatever happened to Gary anyway?

    We miss you @gwhite. :)

The one that comes to my mind, I can never find when I need it. The car or the driver was nicknamed after something to do with the valves... The picture of the car is on the salt. Very old car, pre-war.

  9. When you're talking T gow jobs, you gotta include Multy Aldrich's.

Happy to see Gabby's old roadster in the mix and surprised to see my old touring.

Saw this one online, owner is in Sweden and it's pretty damn nice. Running a Chevy 2 port head.

Like an idiot I gave my 2 port that I got from Gabby away to a friend.

I hope I’ve brought more into one thread so they can be seen.

Phil Weiand roadster above, number 100, and Lou Senter (Ansen speed equipment) street roadster 2nd from the bottom. Also love the 2 shots of the gow from a movie, can’t remember which movie.

  19. I love those early rides. Check out nwvs.org for a club of vintage speedsters, in the great northwest and lots of pics.

No kidding! Looks like I'm a touch late to the party. Most of my collection is already here, including at least one I took. I'll see if I can circle back and add some details on some of these, as I find context is always valuable.

Fronty Spare Tire Catalog.jpg Sterling Garage hopup18-7.jpg
Alright, I found one that hasn't come up yet. This car is actually a pretty big inspiration for Tilly, my 1923 touring build. The first pic comes from an old issue of Hop Up. I forget where the second came from. Notice the "Sterling Garage" reference on the door and spare-tire cover. That was, apparently, a place in Los Angeles known for hopping up T's back when they were still new cars. The Hy Halfhill car, shown above as No. 6 at Muroc in '33, started life as a Sterling Garage job.

Because Tilly is a touring, I can't not list the Hodge car as an inspiration, though thematically mine will be similar to Gabby Garrison's third roadster. I'll be back with more as time allows!

This car is also shown in the photo below. AHRF posted it and identified the setting of the second pic as Muroc in October 1937 and speculates that it's a Model T body dropped on a Model A chassis. Clayton Paddison (@MrModelT ) was just speculating to me that the wheels are 19-inch 1931 Cadillac pieces.

E28BF2B9-6A21-4699-A73F-EE8A69319F6B.jpeg Here’s the last good one I can find. It’s probably one of yours as well. Truly hope this pic thread can inspire people the way you have inspired others to build fun really old cars! I wish this thread to live on a while. Who knows perhaps I will turn into a build thread as bigcheese327 and I live down the road from one another! Maybe his project, maybe mine.....
