    Hi JW
    Rad surround is a little obscure - Snub nose Morris commercial from mid 1920s - the passenger version better known by the bullnose rad and that wee american side valve engine.
    They look better on a single seater but am hoping I can make it work on my T.

    While the single seater is nice, I really like the looks of that green delivery!!

    It is about 8 years to the day since I started this thread. It may take another 8 years for me to finish this build however much progress has been made over the amazing Auckland summer we are having. Model T wire wheels gone and Riley knock on wheels adapted to 1927 chev rear axle and model t front axle - this took quite a bit of working out. Engine just requires headers and a new honey comb radiator core being made so hoping its a runner by the end of summer (March April). Spent the today on the marles steering box and column and sorting out throttle linkages. Brakes are now functional but road test may prove otherwise.
    Then I have to work out how to get it out of the front yard where I have assembled it. There is no vehicle access so a tree and a few yards of fence will be sacrificed. My carbon footprint just gets bigger.

    the shade tent is so I can work on it during the summer days without branding my hand every time I pick up a spanner.

    I'm just catching up with this awesome build...love the nod to the Yesteryear...and me thinks your going to have to make a bigger gate soon @Kume...;)

    Question for you...what is that bracket sticking out from the upper 1/4 panel?...top related?

    Hey Stogy. Yeah never really liked that tree to the left. The bracket is hood bow support - was thinking of having a hood but not so sure now so it may go.

    Are we thinking the same bracket...perhaps you fellas call Tops Hoods...perhaps Ford called them that...just making sure...awesome gow job...

    yeah when you fold down the hood (top) the bows rest on these saddles.

    I was initially building it for the Chelsea Walsh hill climb in Auckland that my club ran but health and safety among other things has put an end to that venue. The roadster is roughly based on the John Gerber blueprint so will be entering any hill climb and dirt track /grass track event that I can qualify for when it is finished.
     
  27. Marchal headlights look great. One thing about those old vintage French Marchal headlights, Even as found in a barn or on a wreck they are almost allways in good condition behind the glass.

    Nice! Great collection of parts that all seem to fit well, what are the wheels & hubs from? The radius rods both front and read are placed just right, nice overall look.
