    Don't know where that A&W is located but the one in our area drew that same type of crowd. The GOOD OLD DAYS. :)

    On post #894, I read many years ago tht the FIRST '55 Thunderbird was the only one that had Fairlane trim. The article (I think it was in Motor Trend Cl***ic) showed the restored car painted black, but the pic in the post is of a light colored car. Does anyone know if the statement was wrong, the car was restored incorrectly, or what?

    That photo in post 894 is an early promo shot by ford. The trim on the side didn't make it into production. There is a post I made sometime back that has the whole story about it but I can't remember which thread it's in .

    That photo is in the article about the trim, MAYBE on Hemmings now that I thought about it.
