It's all Gearhead Art to me but those Steel Rollers are awesome...Your brain is completely wired for this and what a treat it is from this front row Seat...

I have to ask Mike are you going to be the Pilot at the Wheel of this Beast...and I may have missed it but what is the speed you are looking to challenge...If so how fast have you went in the past and if you haven't been up there the Adrenalin must be Pumping...

Continued Thanks for your sharing this adventure with us...;)

yea i am going to pilot the car. the record we are chasing is 170.988. i have been 160 before but not on the salt so that will be a learning curve as we get the car dialed in

been busy working on inner structure design and lay out. I am making the inner structure like old air craft inner structure. I am taking 1 x 1 inch .063 aluminum angle that we bent up, and forming it the profiles we want, then riveting it together to make a T shaped structure. The skins will then be shaped over this inner structure and riveted to the structure in some areas and Dzus fastened in others. Attachment will be dependent on how accessible the chassis needs to be under those panels

Please post your photos directly to this site. Photo Bucket has fucked up or lost thousands of irreplaceable photos from this site. There are a large number of threads here that have almost no pictures left because of Photo Bucket.

Instead of clicking on the photo icon in the upper task bar, use the "Upload a File" button at the bottom right. Select the file and then click on the "full size" option when it loads.

Just found this thread. Beautiful work soo far I'll be following along

looking through the pics of the build I noticed this bracket on the front axle... Is there a function for this piece or is it just locating the suspension at ride height while you work?

all that bracket does is hold the axle where i want it as i build the suspension around it. they have since been removed

More progress on the inner structure. Not huge leaps and bounds of change but with each new piece it’s one closer to sheet metal time. Oh, and for some little. Stickers in as well for when we have the project on display at some shows this year in progress form E7FF4FA2-1A93-4A90-8538-474C0E2C4C80.jpeg FF9C04EA-CBC1-43FE-B802-7DD63F00852E.jpeg 8FB6DC4B-42E5-4B6C-A834-40B9E57B7480.jpeg 638D630B-3F08-4816-9FA9-E86A52F2690C.jpeg F226260F-81F6-4DBA-815C-00607FB4A0F7.jpeg EC4BB6AD-D2E3-41FB-9CE8-7401942F4DB4.jpeg

  28. I love looking at the framework you’ve created for the buck. A work of art by itself.
