Alberta, Newfoundland, and Yukon Territory. The Yukon probably had about 5,000 people in the late 30's in about 186,000 square miles That will be a plate hard to find.

You are sure welcome. Amazing what you can find in junk shops in small towns.

  7. Nothing special about this plate except it is made out of copper.

  8. Bought these plates at a swap meet for about 35 bucks. Had to hang onto them for about 20 years until the Kawasaki bike with the same numbers finally died.

We all know of the woman driving a Porsche with WAS HIS plates on it.

We put my in-laws in an assisted living facility in Oshkosh, WI about six years ago. Most residents have a little cork board and shelf outside their rooms with pixs and mementos on them. Two rooms down from my father-in-law, hanging on the board was a WI collector plate 2 . Today's collector plates are blue and red. This was a yellow and black plate, which you very rarely see. I asked the man what car he had gotten them for. He said he couldn't remember. About three years ago the man and the plate disappeared.

Couple snapshots, an original dealer frame from Port Angeles WA to fit the early long plates hanging on a modern sized SAW ONE, ATE ONE plate, and what was an NOS aftermarket plate frame on the '27 roadster

I have a copy of a magazine that my car was in long before it was mine. I had this plate made for it. It's not legal but I think it's pretty cool. DSCN1255 (2).JPG DSCN1238.JPG DSCN1255 (2).JPG DSCN1238.JPG

My wall hanging plates. I am not a plate collector but I am told the “two digit”1914 plate is a good one to collect because it had to have been one of the first couple hundred 1914 plates made that year. Then he said there could only be 90 two digit plates in existence. Wow !!! how does a guy get to know this much about plates made in 1914??!

I wish I would have done this years ago but I am starting to find a license plate when I travel to foreign countries. It is hard to do. It is not easy to just walk into a store and buy a plate.

From our friends in Canada, two relatively uncommon provincial plates with great shapes. upload_2025-3-16_17-0-20.jpeg The other plate is from Ragusa, Sicily, home to a great original Fiat 500 club.
