No. LaGuardia did not look like that. Note that this Airflow has Congressional plates for D.C. This is likely a member of the 74th Congress of 1935.
Yep! Victoria, B.C. Canada. The first ad was for Island Radiators. Next a fish and chip shop on Yates St. Stubby ad next. And then a photo finishing shop on Yates St. "Mary's" was a coffee shop. Thanks for posting!!!
Bud Roche and Don Mattison ran this early fuel funny for awhile, but they started with fuel dragsters in the early ‘60’s running out of Evergreen Park, IL and teaming up with John Kranenberg. Kranenberg eventually left for the West Coast where he ran Engine Masters with Ray Alley.
I guess family didn't want a Cadillac or a Packard hearse. Understandable. By late 50s they built Lincoln limousines so they didn't have to arrive in a competitors limo. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock, TX
I was there in mid 60s. Great show for a teenage boy addicted to cars. Still addicted at 71 years old. I own 20 + classic cars to prove it. Wife says they have pills for OCD, but I probably wouldn't take them! Lol 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock Tx
Thanks for those historic photos Mr Bucket. I usually do the annual Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame program booklet each year. I am sure one of those will be in there for next year.
Actually, the hearse was a Packard. There were no Lincoln hearses available so a Packard was brought in from out of state so Henry would not have to take his last ride in a Cadillac.
