    90 suburban Ken

I'm new here and before reading the rules I posted asking for help with an electrical problem on my 1990 Suburban. I was unaware that this site is dedicated to hotrods and customs. My apologies to everyone.

Hang out for a while, before long you'll refer to your '90 as the late model that stays outside now.

Welcome . I’ve been on here for a bit . Sometimes I slide away into the the OT , and get reminded it’s not allowed . Anyway welcome to the site . If you have any later model stumpers , maybe PM me I’ll try to help . Again welcome and be safe , it’s a great hobby and a great site with lots of knowledge and a laugh or two thrown in also .

Say 10 Hail Henrys and memorize the torque sequence on a 21 stud flatty and all is forgiven.

All automotive technology is an evolutionary iteration of what came before.

This coming weekend I will be working on a '27 Model T. All this week, I will be working on 2020 GM autonomous cars.

There is a direct pathway between technology then, to what we have now.

Stick around. I guarantee that you will learn a lot of things that you can use, even on your off-topic ride.

Google will burn your butt when you are looking for info and more often than not the HAMB pops up in the search. You are a long way from the first and probably a long way from the last.
There is a section for that body style on this board http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/index.php Some good folks on there too. Even a few that are here also.

  13. ..........It doesn't happen often that someone has the humility to admit their "slip-up". Big thumbs-up to you for doing so. Most folks would be adamant that the site should "adjust" to accommodate their wants and needs......Stick around and we promise to do all that we can to bring you over to the dark side.:D;).........As the Boss would say, "Spreading the Gospel of Traditional Hot Rods and Customs to Hoodlums Worldwide"....Don.

The pathway was direct only in the sense that it was unbroken. It was certainly not straight: if the metaphor makes any sense the pathway was extremely convoluted. Nor was it in any intelligible sense natural, nor was it inevitable, nor the only pathway possible. It was not optimal nor arguably even good. There were at any time a wide range of possible branches, and the one taken in actual fact was regularly taken for the most cynical of reasons.

One of the most interesting aspects of automotive history is the technological branches not taken, especially if we project possible subsequent development.

Showing a lot of class. If everyone that screwed up had your attitude the world would be a better place.

Well done Ken. What I'm going to do here is maybe solicit some help for you since you have done what very few have ever done on the HAMB. There are many instances of HAMB'ers pointing out to new members what the HAMB is about, and in turn incurring the wrath of those newbies. You are an exception.

That said, send me a PM with your issue and maybe I can help. Any of you other folks willing to assist just mention it and I'll add you to that conversation. With very few exceptions we've all worked on newer stuff and may be able to help sway this guy over to the dark side.

Mods, if this offer to use the HAMB messaging capability is out of line just go ahead and delete my post.
