Technical Crapload of spam

We are getting hit righ now.

 

Question for the moderators....if you just report the poster as a spammer does it get rid of all the threads they start?

 

I think the Poster is taken out of the Membership as soon as the Spam is reported...each day it's a new wave of Membership started with each Spam...I suppose there can multiple posts under a Screename until they are reported as Spam

If you look at my Spam Screengrab back a page Member msvf5 posted 4 in a row earlier tonight and I type in their name in search and it says no can find...

 

Just zapped one more now. It was up for 3 minutes when I got it.

 

Actually tonight the membership and mods are really tuned into it and the ****storm of Spam went down pretty quickly...

I get them a lot when it says "A moment ago" but i'm on a lot around 12:00-12:30 when most attacks seem to occur. I've also noticed they are starting to post in the introduction section of the website.

 

They're everywhere...

Or is it Rules are Rules...

You guys do realize that this thread is doing the same thing as spam, knocking on topic threads off the front page? Great, and now I'm doing the same thing by replying!

 

If it counts for anything at all I would like the wait time reduced. I hit some when I can (different time zone) but give up after a few after having the wait thing come up.

 

And a small banner that lists # of spams "killed" on our profile page, like fighter planes had in WW 2.0

 

You could use this for the symbol.
