Features 33-34 Ford coupe bodies

Well they are still out there guys. Found this one 50 yards off highway in northern Arizona in mid-June this year 2019 and just got it home this week. Might need a few spare parts ??? It does have a decent floor, nice firewall, dash, and a straight frame.

 

It's cool, but it's not a 33-34 FORD coupe body...

If you go back to the first post of this thread, you will see that the idea is to tell us about that rough and rusty 33 or 34 Ford coupe body you picked up and are determined to turn it into a traditional hot rod. Lots have been posted, so thanks for that - especially those pictures as they tell the real story. More coupes are out there, so keep the pics coming.

I drug this one home from Florida. (Not the old guy, the car.)



Has the usual 3/16 plate firewall.



Butchered chop.



Overall, a pretty decent little body. I have traveled further and spent more for a lot less.



I have a '33 to finish, then this one is next.

Looks solid! At least they didn't cut the wings off to put that firewall in there, that's a big plus. And I've seen much worse chop top butcher jobs than that. Looks like a real good workable body.

 

Abone ,I was thinking about it but I'm trying to quit and I didn't want to drive to Florida to get it. I knew at the price it wouldn't last long

 

I had this one for quite a while and was thinking about fixing it. Had quite the history here on Van Isle as a roundy round racer. Sold it and it went to Washington, its getting put on a drag race chassis, may see a bit of street use too.
Its the 2nd 34 Fiver that I have rescued from the racetrack to be made into a hot rod.

Nailhaed A-V8, it was actually the old Bowser / Horne Lake Volunteer Fire Dept crew truck, only has 45,000 original miles on it...

On another note I have a 34 Fordor I am selling if anyone wants to do a fordor to 5 window dealio!

Let's get this thread back on track - its about 33-34 Ford coupe bodies.

 

I can see a 3w in my future, change out the cowl, some tudor doors, and build a top out of tudor and 35 top pieces. I've got all the pieces to do this and I plan on selling off the cabriolet cowl and door skins.

Here’s one I’m messing with

 

I’ll play. Mine was actually just pieces that people left in my yard. I would sell a good back half and ask them to give me their bad one, sell good doors, give me your junk ones, good cowl, let me have your crap. Here is all of the crap, welded together and being saved.

 

The last two examples of 33-34 Ford coupe bodies come from Washington State - great job guys!

 

Pulling this 33 out of a storage shed and hoping to get started on it soon.

Well... My recently purchased 34 was just dropped of. Hopefully I can find parts to rebuild. Wanted one for a long time

 

looks like it served time on the track for a while. good on you for saving it

 

I love it. Looks like enough left there to work with, I would love to see some progress pics of it here when you tear into it.

 

Hey @bugginvw3 , good save on the coupe body. Maybe somebody can answer this for me. Was the curbside lock on the 34s an option? This one of his car looks to be original and surface rusted where the lock cylinder would be.
