Projects 1963 Ford Galaxie build

    still plugging away on the Galaxie.

    jeffshibby has machined me some awesome parts for the interior.

    I wanted to smooth out the dash and get rid of the radio, heater controls, clock, knobs that we won't be using. so jeffshibby machined these dash pieces.

    then because we are using a lokar shifter, aod tranny, and a manual console plate. jeffshibby machined this shift trim plate to accommodate the shift indicator. (console plate still needs to be refinished)

    We got the console in and Vintage air mounted.

    We mounted the gas tank.

    Assembled again. Forgot what it looked like it's been so long. lol Now to route the wiring, to avoid any drilling after paint. And maybe get the engine assembled over winter.

    Seeing this picture reminded me of advertisements I heard on the radio when these cars were new about how strong the bumpers were. I was a little tyke then and hadn't thought of that in years. Very cool rendering!
