I wanted to introduce myself as well as offer a huge thanks to those who have contributed to the archives. I have an Allard running a Cadillac 331 with a progressive tri-carb Holley 2110 setup on an Edelbrock manifold - not exactly a traditional hot rod but close ;). I had been having post-shutdown carb leaking issues and with the help of the community and archives here I was able to diagnose the issues, gain the confidence that it was likely not beyond my skill set to repair and get it resolved. I swapped out the fuel pump to a lower pressure Facet 40104, added regulator / gauge (since removed) to confirm pressure delivery at the fuel block and installed new floats / adjustment, needles / seats and float bowl gaskets. Slightly raised the idle speed on the center carb and everything seems to now be working better than ever. I could not have diagnosed and fixed the issues without all the knowledge built up from the archives and the HAMB community. Thanks everyone!

reffiesj, you should post some pics of it. Right here or there's a thread on specials as well as one on hot rod sports cars.

  5. Pictures are easy to post. The only problem people generally have is when the pictures are too large. Please don't even think of using an external hosting service. Take a shot at it and if you have a problem post what hardware/software you are using and someone will help. You are welcome to come to my house and I will walk you through it. If you add your general location to your profile I may understand why you didn't take my offer. Are you going to the HCCA Cruise tomorrow? Without knowing your general location that suggestion might not make sense. Do you sense a pattern as to why you should add your general location?

Welcome to the HAMB! Glad your Allard is running well. I personally think they are English Hot Rods run on road courses. Bob

Charlie - I am in SoCal - Manhattan Beach area - I won't be at the HCCA cruise tomorrow - sounds like a great event but family commitments interfere - will figure out how to add location to my profile - thanks!

Thanks for the comments - not sure about jets and power valves - I have had the car for a little over a year and the prior owner had the engine / carburetion overhauled when the car was restored in 2010 following an accident. None of the documentation I have on hand specifies the jetting / PVs that were used.
