I don't normally criticize anyone's custom vision but, WTF is that!?!?!?!
It looks like a ***** Vette got drunk and impregnated an AMC Pacer and this is the result!!!:eek:o_O:oops:

    Jim,
if John Lukovich could be of any help to you let me know. I know him quite well as he is Larry Dixon's father in law (and currently becoming Tony Pedregon's former father in law). We all live within a few miles of each other in the Brownsburg area.

Thanks Roo. I watched him race when he ran with Sam Gianino's team but he was the only one of the bunch that I never met. Thanks for the offer though.

    **** I would drive it.
Maybe this pic will stop someone from building another one.
I have a pic of a 65/66 vette with a snow plow but the mods keep deleting it.

  17. Could you imagine stenciling something on the side of a nice looking vette? Does it have a clear hood scoop?

That picture was taken back when they weren’t worth much. It was just another used car. I remember hearing people talk about a used corvette for sale for $800. It does seem very strange today. Yes it has a clear hood scoop.

I purchased my '63 roadster 327/340 four speed for $1200.00 in 1971. I sold it for
$1250 and was pumped that I made a profit. I sold the hard top for $100.00.

@quick85, that’s very interesting but I think that people forget that money was more valuable then. That would be equivalent to about $8000 today which would be a steal. At that time they weren’t very sought after and were just a used car. My dad told me of some that he bought and sold in that price range. One was a 63 Split Window and it had a bad transmission and oxidized paint. He fixed it and buffed it and sold it for around that price and was happy to make a little on it. Maybe a hundred or two. He p***ed on a 53 and a 54 from the same seller and said that he didn’t think that he could find a buyer for those at that time.

In the 1972 time period I answered an ad in the L.A. Times and bought a '58 Corvette for daily driver for $500. It was a 245 horsepower/Powerglide car. Drove it to work for a couple of years and sold it for $1000. Thought I'd hit a home run! Replaced it with a '61, 230 horsepower/Powerglide Vette that I bought for $800 and sold that one a few months later for $1000. Life was great!

Just kidding around. Kat built his blown ‘61 from about ‘72-‘74, before the age of bolt on kits. Was one hellava a car. It was featured in Car Craft about 1977. Chuck’s cream puff red ‘61 was a 230 hp/4spd car. I’ve rambled on about my coupe, probably more than anyone cares.

I drank my share of Millers at that same time. I was adding a 3 car garage to my house and drinking it was summer and I left a few bottles in the sun I guess, well when I went to have them later on after refrigeration they tasted so bad I never drank a clear gl*** bottled beer again. About the cars, that's what I wanted to know.
