Took the pickup out for its first ride of the new year up to Enfield for the MARC monthly swap event. Roads were washed by yesterday’s rain but sure could have used a little sun to temper the chilly and windy day. Unfortunately came home empty handed but enjoyed catching up with some of the nice folks there. Here’s hoping you got out too!
Thank you Sawbuck! It’s a ‘35. I’ve owned it for almost 15 years now. Pretty/mostly stock except it has an 8RT flathead and supposedly a Mercury crank. At least the heads are 8RT and if runs so nicely I hope to never have to verify the crank I did a few thing to it over the years like put in 3.55 gears and a wide ratio ‘39 style transmission to help me put on the highways. Truck photos well and black and red makes it look better IMHO. Paint far from perfect but everything pretty solid. Wheels are 50ish Buick with Cragar SS hubcaps. Here’s some photos: btw, the last photo was the truck at my daughter’s wedding. I drove her to church and my son in law drove her to the reception in it. Too bad it doesn’t show the “just married” sign.
Is that at Powder mill barn? I've always wanted to go but never did, Any mid 50s ford and chevy stuff there? Ralphie
This event is scheduled for the first Sunday AM of the months of Dec, Jan, Feb and March at the Powder Mill barn. It’s really an early morning event that may have a dozen or so venders and a number of club members visiting etc. Hard to say what you will find there and made some scores there over the years. No weed wavers. Limited number of vendors but usually interesting stuff. Hope this helps.
I have only been to that one once 18 or 19 years ago. I didn't find anything, but it was the first time I heard about the Fitchburg M***achusetts swapmeet.
About time you put some miles on that 0 mileage truck. [emoji16] Sent from my VS835 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
