NOTE: The original "Leg Show T" was built by Danny Eichstedt when he was in high school. It was featured in the January 1971 issue of ROD & Custom: Here it is at the 1971 (Oakland) GNRS with a couple of the Brizio kids "going for a ride": image from the Brizio family archives (c/o Terri @Born a HotRodGal Hollenbeck) Danny even drove it to the 1971 NSRA Nationals in Memphis, TN: The famous "Leg Show T" was parted out when Eichstedt sold it ... but Walter Sigsbey tracked the car down (along with many of the parted-out parts) ... and Eichstedt helped Sigsbey put the car back together to contend for this years AMBR award .

Agree on the color scheme of some. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to walk into the shop and see any of them though.
Give it to the T-Bucket...(its really the only one to my eye that I'd call "beautiful" (lowercase b)). I really wanted to like the '33, the Track-T and the red '32....but each one of them had elements that just kinda killed my enthusiasm. (T-Bucket is kinda a fun departure) Thanks Hemi! Edit: PS I totally dig the '36 headlights on the Firth '32! Nice touch.
It still comes down to fit, finish and attention to the most minute detail and that little track nose 27 has those bases covered. That said I haven't picked the Winner one time In the all the years that we have been picking since I have been on here. This is Dusty Smith's 27 in 2014 When Old Bob drove it to Monitor Wa for the East West Flathead run. It shows just what he did to it to upgrade it but not make wholesale changes in the car. These are mostly of the engine though as I have a 254.
All better in person. Each one has its own style. More "stock" appearing steel wheels this year than ever. (Good) Overall more "lobuck" appearing since I can remember. The black 55 Ford 2door wagon with the Cown Victoria was a great piece. A dual quad Y-Block under the hood and an interior styled after a 59 Galaxie 500 I believe. It was in the next building.
Just love that 34...gets my vote (like anybody cares). The "kugel" '32 and the T bucket look like they're too late to the party...by about 30 years.
AMBR cars are always a treat. How I would build a car is only my opinion. I build cars the way I like them, and don't care even if nobody else likes them. That hasn't happened yet. I appreciate the love and hard work people put into their cars. For some people it's all blood, sweat, and tears, for some they can write the checks, and for everyone else it's portions of both. I also like the green 27 Track Roadster.
I like chrome, but hood sides and rear deck is a bit over the top for me. I do appreciate the build, wish I could do it.
Such great cars that are so close to equal. Even at this level I kinda think picking a winner is pretty subjective, : websters , modified or affected by personal views, experience, or background ) even if there are points given.
Love what he has done to the car to get it to that point but I agree 100% that the shiny chrome/polished to the max aluminum panels are very distracting from an otherwise knock your socks off car.

For me the Brownstone Roadster is #1 with the Track T a very strong second. The fit and finish on these cars are unbelievable. I can't imagine being a judge, must come down to having one nut not clocked exactly the same as the others to not be a winner.
These were my thoughts, exactly! Did he run out of blue paint? Maybe the deck lid and hood sides arrived too late. The hood sides especially, interrupt the flow. When it comes to chrome (or polished aluminum) less is more.
Dustys T has my first vote. Second, would be the Track T. Leg Show T, just seems more like an attraction to me. Something you would put at the entrance of the main building.
