Ok, it is a nice website and they are convincing. Sorry. But, you still sent $12,000.00 off to someone just on their say so without doing any kind of review and that is, a bit on you. Their stuff looks great in the pictures and I hope you get your engine someday.

  2. Funding a race car and dope are on the same level, very expensive, Your Attorney will get your money back and he will park his race car for a while.
Try Ed Shilakian " Cadillacs of the 40's" in Las Vegas, he has up thru the 60's stuff for Cads and is honest.

    1/27/2020 Update
Called Cadillac High Performance again and was told my heads were sitting in inspection and waiting for a second inspection. Mike said he had never seen that happen before. (last month, Dec 2019 I was told heads were in inspection too) He said they are the manufacturers of the heads. He also said they process thousands of orders every week and have 50 employees. I asked why they didn't just send me a different set of heads if there was a problem with that set and they are the manufacturer. So later this week I am going to call again. Is there anyone on the HAMB network that lives in or near West Baden Il ?
Apparently they opened a new location at 501 W Hanover St last year and may be involved in some way with Larry Larson who is running a new Cadillac on the show Street Outlaws. They have video of his car on their Twitter site.

  4. I genuinely hope you receive what you paid for but man, the guys list of excuses/delay tactics doesn't inspire much confidence. Just wondering what his response was to you asking why he didn't just send out another set of heads?

  5. Get your mony back before he strings you along for long enough that you can't because that's what he is trying to do.

  6. Really, why are you still playing with this guy? Your hair shirt at the cleaners? Cancel thru paypal, tell the guy to piss off, and get on with your life. Sorry to be so harsh, but if you get fucked now you brought it on yourself.

I am not sure why you started this thread, since you're ignoring sound advice, especially from a couple of people who have been ripped off by this company (@Coltredline and @Barrbariun). I sincerely hope it works out for you, but their history suggests otherwise.

I placed my order thru PayPal which gives me additional ability to get my money back. I had good luck with them once before when a seller wasn't co-operative. The reason I'm holding off is because I can't get aluminum Cadillac heads anywhere else and they had a substantial discount. Yep the discount doesn't matter if I never get the part. I had a Cadillac powered 33 Ford when I was younger. Later I built a 500 Caddy powered Buick Regal. Lots of torque, burn the tires........but it didn't go anywhere. I want to build my dream car .......a 32 Ford with a Caddy engine. To hell with nostalgia, I don't want a bunch of show and very little go. The key to any engines performance is airflow. It's not like trying to find heads for a Chevy. So I'm giving them more rope than I normally would. I don't like it, but that's just the way things are. I will get PayPal involved if something doesn't happen soon.

I use to think I could spot a bull shit artist from a mile away but, in the past few years I have been caught off guard with internet dealings. One guy was buying a Cadillac I was selling on ebay. He won the bid and we spoke on the phone several times. He sounded completely level headed and normal. The thing is, after a couple weeks no payment had been made. I just could not figure out why anyone would go through such a hassle stringing someone along. I would have been totally fine if he didn't want to buy the car any longer. A search of the guys company revealed 5 other people he had done this to. I don't know what he got out of it. I'm sure there were more out there and only 5 took the time to post about their interaction with this guy. The other interaction I had was with a local guy that owned Seattle Classic Cars. He had been on ebay for years and sold hundreds of classics through his website. I consigned a car with him and I had to pry my money from the sale out of his hands. Shortly after, he ran off with several peoples money and cars. The guy has dissapeared off the face of the earth. Just goes to show that even an established business can be on the brink of running off with your money. I assumed it was drug related as he seemed tweaked out the last few times I saw him. Long story short, if I do not get a warm and fuzzy or response that is in line with regular business, I move on. Saving 20% on a part is not worth the aggravation to me and I rather give a few hundred bucks to a vendor that is responsible over a thief.

@ekimneirbo ......other claims aside......his statement that they “process thousands of orders a week and have 50 employees”, if that supposedly is solely related to Cadillac performance parts, sounds like the biggest BS claim of the whole episode.

My impression is, and it is only just that, Cadillac performance parts buyers are nowhere near numerous enough to support that kind of volume. If they truly ship that much stuff and have that many employees, they are in some other business as their primary occupation.

I, too, hope you get your parts...........

It's what, 250 miles from you to New Baden,IL? Get some friends, go on a road trip and get your stuff. Up and back in a day. Good luck.

Found company named "Cad Company" in Albequerque NM that also sells aluminum Cadillac heads. They are out of stock and they are waiting for the machine shop to finish machine some heads. Been waiting two months and hope to have them in next 30 days. Seems honest (?) in that they didn't try to sell me something that isn't available.

Call CHP and talked to owner again.......after being told he was in a meeting. He came up with same story about inspector finding a problem with current heads. Says "they" (1 or both ?) had a crack. Inspector left note and went on vacation. He says he will have new heads assembled this afternoon and I should receive them by Friday after next.
Says an email will be sent by his shipping department with tracking info. If heads are not forthcoming this time, I will file a complaint with Paypal.

I'm documenting this on HAMB so that anyone thinking of doing business with this company can do a search on the word Cadillac and find out whether this ends with a happy conclusion ...........or not. Might save someone from future problems. At best, I have to say that the company does not seem to be well run. Whether they turn out to be downright dishonest or not............we will see.

With all due respect, you have to be crazy not to have contacted with paypal yet and gotten your money back by now. Why are you waiting? You don't need to be documenting anything! You need to be getting your money back!!!

Sometimes, you want something so badly that you'll overlook the lying and the cheating. A lot of relationships are like that.

I had an ebay transaction going south and I called in my STL Hamb buddies. They showed up on his doorstep. Stuff showed up 3 days later.

Hopefully they ship you the heads 10 minutes before they find out you filed the claim with PayPal. Then you get the heads and they get to let you screw around with them for a few months.

Having a similar issue with a starter I bought on eBay. Was listed that it would fit a 394 Olds, and while it did fit technically to bolt in, the drive depth was different and when I started it, it obliterated the starter and my flywheel in the process. I sent him a nasty email since I had to not only source a new starter, but I had to pull the trans to replace the flywheel, as well. I told him I wanted my money back and would mail him back the annihilated starter. He offered to rebuild it with new parts and mail it back to me with shims. Fine. I sent it back to him in June of 2019. I'm still waiting for it.

Last week CHP owner said they would assemble the heads that afternoon . Wednesday I think. Said I should expect delivery no later than Friday this week 2/7/20. Called today and asked lady for tracking info. She came back and said there was no tracking info because they weren't shipped yet. Assured me they would email when shipped. They can't even get em out of their building.
I've given them every chance to work thru any real problem that they may have had, but I have had enough........Started my PayPal dispute today. First step is sending an email apparently with some kind of PayPal acknowledgement. So that's what I did today,......o_O

IMHO if Paul Lane has anything to do with CHP anymore stay very far away! Don't ask me how I know. I have found that Cad CO in Albuquerque to be a lot of help and does what he says.

He was in a picture I found on line but I don't know if he is still involved with them. I'm just waiting to see what they do.........or don't do in the next few days. Then I can check the Paypal box that gets them fully involved .

  29. I would have ZERO confindence in any product coming from a company that has continually lied to me every step of the way. If they couldn't give a shit about being honest to the customer they probably take the same attitudde towards their products and no matter how much I was saving I wouldn't trust their product.

Your patience is admirable but for sure this guy is not worthy of it. Start the proceedings immediately to get your money back.
