Swi66 a big thanks for those last posts. In the first post the 58ish Chev concept truck has Studebaker like styling in rear quarter panel n just behind front tire fender reminds me of f100. In 3rd post that "Cameo concept" looks like Cadillac might be getting a pickup! That same 3rd post made me realize how much I miss miniskirts! That's a Chevy/GMC truck cab. Looks like it's wearing 'Daytona' scripts. It's not a Cadillac, nor is it a floral coach.
The 12-port cylinder head was introduced to the hot rod community by Wayne Horning. It was originally designed for the GMC straight-six engine. At one point after the 12-port head took hold, Wayne designed a 12-port head for the Chevy straight-six engine. I have heard that he did that although I never saw one nor heard from anyone that was using one. The reason was the difference in potential displacement between the Chevy and the GMC engine. And for whatever reason, we always referred to the GMC engine as a "Jimmy". Ed Pink had one in his Ford coupe that he ran up at the lakes in SoCal, and of course, Ike Iacono's 12-port Jimmy Coupe and Roadster and dragster put away many Ford flatheads in his day. I seem to recall that Howard (the cam grinder) also came up with a 12-port head for the GMC straight six...
