(Repost from 2013 with the photo put back in) Betcha never saw a Jordan hot rodded... Dig up a copy of the August '74 issue of Rod Action, and read the great story Harrison Miler wrote about his scrounged-together roadster which combined a '26 Jordan body, a '35 Ford truck grille, a stepped '28 Model A frame, '36 Chevy steering column/wheel and a '39 Merc flathead. If this ain't traditional hot rodding, what is? (And Harrison, if you're still out there, let's hear from you!)
We have a Avery 45-65, wider rear wheels, looks just like this in N. Dakota... Gets run in the Parade every year Steering is controlled by chains Similar These run great on a oval dirt track sprint races .
And the current driver/version of this was issued a traffic summons this week for Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. It was on one of the news sites.
I wondered about the cast headers also, but I thought I had also seen that style on some 12-port GMC combinations. Could have been wrong though. I remember that the hot GMC 12-port combos were usually 302 cubic inches, but people have told me that there were some that were larger than that...
Thanks fbi9c1, but I think we are looking at different pics. I did see the 40s flowercar, but here I am commenting on a Cameo style concept truck with 57ish cadillac looking fins on top of fiberglass rear quarters of pickup bed. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
