Yep. That is the pair order. The bundle order is : Will / White Rodgers / Red Balls / Black Young / Yellow Virgins / Violet So you have White/Blue and Blue/White as first tip/ring pair. Violet is usually only used in 25 pair cable for the last 5 pair. 60 and 100 pair cable indoor cable use White, Red, Black and Yellow tape around the internal bundles in addition to the wire colors.

Used to work with some electronics engineers. They often reverted to using the resistor colors for color coding damn near everything. I could never get the hang of it.
I never did get far with the fun sayings, I just remember the names of the colors. And when I'm actually building something that requires several resistors, I again remember what number each color is. I guess if you learn this stuff young enough (10 years old) it sticks with you.
Flush cutters work great for cutting the end off flush and safe. Or get one of the tools they make for the job.
I use zip ties to bundle wire together. Different colors for different items. Then use a different color and size to bundle those bundles together. It makes it easier to find and locate the problem areas. Use em with a tag to label parts as well. I have found the multi packs in a container are the cheapest ones made.
