Is a door lock problem off topic?, what the heck happened this time? HRP

 

I was actually enjoying that thread, it was informative. I didn't see anything that could have triggered someone to hit the report ****on!

 

I was typing a reply and then it was gone,I didn't see anything wrong.

 

So was I. Hit post reply and up pops HAMB Error.

Maybe it was the ***le of the thread.

 

I got my advice in on time. Hope you read it Danny. So does a U.S. Tudor have steel floors or wood floors like my Euro Tudor ? Did someone post a photo of a chainsaw or some other outragous solution ? The ***le began with $***. Midnight here, time to hit the sack.

The original wood is still in the back but I replaced the wood with metal in the toe board area.

I avoid using profanity so I thought the words in the ***le but use the dollar mark for the "S", I can't imagine that would be the reason to delete the thread, I've seen much worse in ***les. HRP

 

I'm wondering if Threads can just be hit like the Spam Threads...enter spam twice hit go...instant Moderator...

I've only Spammed True Spam Threads so I have No idea if that's possible...

 

Regarding the lockout @HOTRODPRIMER did you call a locksmith it might be only a reasonable fee...those locks are easy to pic...

I know locks as I tagged along with my buddies Dad on Lock Jobs and became pretty good at opening locks...

Hotrod locks for early 30s Fords are more or less like a cabinet lock...go thru any key you have that fits into that lock as your original wiggle it up and down gently turning the way it opens and back to release the wafers or pins and keep repeating...

I've actually had several bouts of good luck with used toolbox locks using other keys working...it's a combination of wear, similar cuts in the keys and the quality of the locks which are pretty simple and primitive.

 

I don't have a clue, but this is the second thread in as many days this week to be deleted and I can't understand why something like this could be even be considered off topic. HRP

 

I posted OH $HIT, I came close but no cigar, a slap on the wrist would have been nice.

I know it wasn't you that deleted it, but I would appreciate it being opened back up with what ever ***le you or the moderator that deleted it deems appropriate I really need the help from the members. HRP

 

I don't post a whole lot and try to stay out of these sort of things, but there is another thread with the same word in the ***le without trying to disguise it as HRP did. I believe it was even a featured thread.
Just saying and hope I didn't just shoot myself in the foot.

 

There are much worst ***les in ongoing threads as we speak, just saying. HRP

 

Just start a new thread with a better ***le, Danny. Something like, 32 door lock help, or such.

I don't know ether but it seems like a knee jerk reaction , you know as well as anyone the thread I alerted you to the "I F---ed up" and it ran for several weeks before you changed the ***le.

No big deal, every one interprets things differently. HRP
