I now own this cycle car it’s called the angle iron special and has been brought into use now about to start the new season on the hills Shelsley Walsh and Prescott etc

For an excellent film about excellent micro-car and about people's dreams become reality, even on such a small scale.

Once, I almost bought excellent BMW Isetta, from the first owner, auto-mechanics who kept she in good working order and registered. His adult kids were ashamed of him having and driving such "invalid" auto. of course, my family would react the same. His second offer was to exchange it for one older Trabant, kept in a reserve for one registered... So, I tried to forget on such combination. Still couldn't - after 35 years?

Now, I could enjoy it driving across and around Bern in quite expensive "young-timer", or sell it well and have good money... (to buy old Curtiss OX-5 V-8 aero-engine or younger Zlin inline-six air-cooled, or at least Tatra 3.5 litre, air-cooled V-8?)

Maybe, some next time...

Is there a cat under the bonnet?

 

We had a labrakita. half lab ,half akita. We could never convince he wasn't human.He had to be everywhere I was. He would be in my face if I was talking on the phone...like he had a part in the conversation.He was like a four year old boy if I was working on anything. He'd be right by my side nosing into whatever I was working on.There were times I wished he had some sort of appendage to either hold something or hand me another tool.

 

She has something in her hand to beat it in to running!

That's the wrench for the wheel hubs.

 

I'm not sure about that. Looks like the ID is smooth and round and no prong to engage the wing of the hub.

 

some hubs have 8 sides to the nuts instead of wings. these are from Buffalo wheels

Yes sir! I mean from this thread. Without you this thread would die. I've been scanning car ads for the AACA library, about 7000 since the first of the year. I did Amilcar the other day, there were only a few. They will be available on the library site soon.

 

I Understand that but that is not what I see on that front wheel. I enlarged the pic and the wrench sure looks like it has no octagon or hex on the ID nor does the hub.

 

I agree the hubs look round, but the wrench sure looks octagonal to me. At least the outer rim is. Either way, it sure is a cool little car. Looks like it has a chain driven, offset steering box of some kind. I like the set-back radiator, and the way the double crease on the front of the hood merges into a single line back by the cowl. Fine looking dog, too.

 

I think it's a connecting rod that she just found under tne car. The dog is trying to find where it goes back.

It seems that dog found a place for it, just do not has proper tools to return it there and the cute driver does not know either... But, on another photo, appeard young gentleman who solved the puzzle...
(probably that there was a photo-session and there are next photos, unshown to us?)

You are probably right. It kind of looks like a posed photograph, probably just grabbed something that looked "mechanical" and told her to hold it. I'm still intrigued by the car. Any ideas what it is?
