1952-59 Ford idler arm install

    im installing the idler arm on my 55 customline
    how tight should the arm be in the center link and bracket
    if I snug it up I have a little play in it at the drag link

    There is a certain procedure to it. I still have a copy of the article on rebuilding the front suspension on these cars. I can get it for you later today.

    Now, this is for a '54 but my FSM says to tighten the idler arm to mount bracket 85-100 ft. lbs.
    Idler arm to steering arm (center link) tighten to 85-100 ft. lbs. also. Remember, they're reverse threads!
